The Libnamic Hosting team performs the migration of Wordpress websites from the old hosting for free. To do this, we need a copy of your website so we can migrate it to its new home.
In most cases, the migration is done instantly, but our team always reviews the results to prevent any issues later on. To carry out an instant migration, it is essential that you provide a copy of your website in one of the ways described on this page. Copies can be provided via a link or file upload in our control panel, Libnamic Hosting Dashbord.
Backup Methods
Using the Duplicator plugin (recommended)
This free plugin delivers good results on most shared hosting platforms, and the Libnamic migration program is perfectly adapted to these files.
1. Install Duplicator
We install and activate the plugin in the usual way on our website, on the current hosting:
2. Create Backup
We go to the main screen of the Duplicator plugin and click the 'Create New' button to create a new backup.
Next, we open the 'Archive' dropdown:
In the 'Database' tab, it is recommended to use the 'PHP' SQL mode in the configuration, which can be found at the end of the dropdown. If there is another value and you want to change it to avoid issues, simply click on the option:
This will take us to another screen where the configuration can be changed:
After clicking 'Next,' Duplicator will analyze the site, and then we just need to click 'Create' to start the backup creation process:
If everything goes well, Duplicator will notify us. Otherwise, you can try another backup method or contact your previous hosting support.
3. Copy link
The easiest way to provide Libnamic with this backup is through a link, so we can download it directly from the servers. To do this, once the analysis is complete, go to the list of packages.
And now, go to the details of the last one created, in the last icon on the right:
Here, we will find the link in the 'General' dropdown:
All that's left is to copy the link and enter it in the Libnamic Dashboard:
As an alternative, you can download the package and then upload it to the Dashboard.
4. Enter the link in the Libnamic Hosting Dashboard
What's left is very simple: just create a new website from the Dashboard, indicate that it is a migration, and paste the copied link:
The migration will begin instantly and will take time to complete depending on the size of the website. We will keep you updated via email on the progress of the migration and notify you when we perform the manual review so you can check it on your end as well.
